Do You Want Ozone in Your Laundromat?
I was looking through an old file of perhaps a dozen or so years ago, and saw an early attempt of installing ozone in one of the Laundromats I built. It was heavily promoted with a glass panel showing flashing lights as the ozone was being generated. It was a system provided by Hamilton Engineering and introduced at a distributor only CLA event. Hamilton is famous for producing some of the most energy efficient water heating system in America for Laundromat hot water. Quality company.
Currently, there have been added improvements with direct injection into the water that have improved delivery, but unfortunately it was not a successful introduction for me. It was installed in a brand new Continental Girbau high speed extract store in a heavily Hispanic neighborhood. Great machines by the way. Although the equipment was great, the ozone concept fell on its face in this location. The smell was a too strong and reported as offensive by quite a few customers. Also the heavy use of hot water selection erased some of the benefits of ozone use. I'm sure that some of you are experiencing great benefits with ozone so I have a attached an English version for consideration of marketing this concept. The Spanish and Postcard mailing I used to promote the concept can be sent to you by emailing me at Laundromat 123.
Hope it helps someone who is considering installing this decades old technology used by industrial and true commercial laundry facilities to save the cost of heating hot water.
